Joel Martin is an industry veteran who has spent the past three decades as an analyst, advisor, product manager, and general manager for global consulting, software, and semiconductor firms in Europe, Australasia, and North America. Joel brings a background in product planning, competitive analysis, market growth programs, and global team leadership. 

As an Executive Research Leader and Chief of Staff for HFS Research Joel overseas technology research areas across security, software development lifecycle, AI, and data modernization. He leads HFS’s AI strategy and is execution across both internal and external systems and people. Prior to HFS, Joel was product manager for Microsoft’s Canada Dynamics practice and General Manager of TechInsights global IC reverse engineering, costing, and market insights business. Joel has advised and supported security startups in the HSM (Crypto4A) and cryptography (Infosec Global).
